PEOPLE THINK “OLD” VISUAL KEI IS X JAPAN OR LUNA SEA. NOBODY REALLY KNOWS OR APPRECIATES SOME OF THE TRUE VETERANS OF J-ROCK: DEAD END. FORMED IN THE 80’S AND INSPIRED THE J-ROCKERS THAT WE LOVE TODAY. WITHOUT THEM, THERE WOULD BE NO KIYOHARU OR BUCK-TICK, AND WITHOUT KIYOHARU AND BUCK-TICK WE ALL KNOW THE MAJORITY OF BANDS WE LOVE WOULDN’T EXIST.

The above, I’m tired of “J-Music” being an exclusive circle of pop-cum-rock musicians.
I BELIEVE IF DIR EN GREY WANTS TO BE A RESPECTED BAND IN THE METAL GENRE, THEY NEED TO SHAKE OFF THE FANS WHO RUN AROUND IN CAT EARS/TAILS YELLING KAWAII AND SUCH. I KNOW BANDS SHOULD BE BASED OFF THE MUSIC AND THE MUSIC ALONE. BUT I KNOW PEOPLE WON’T GIVE THEM A CHANCE BECAUSE OF SOME OF THE FANS. THEY DON’T WANT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THAT TYPE OF PEOPLE, AND THEY DEFINITELY DON’T WANT TO GO TO SHOWS WITH BOYS/GIRLS IN COSPLAY OR LISTEN TO THEIR SHITTY “JAPANESE” WHILE THEY TRY TO GLOMP THEM.
